A park 10 times larger than Stromovka. Prague has announced an international landscape-urban design competition for Soutok suburban park

The landscape at the confluence of the Berounka and the Vltava River in Prague represents a huge natural potential. However, there is no clear landscape concept and framework for development of the area spanning more than 1000 hectares. The Institute of Planning and Development (IPR) has therefore announced an international competition for the design of Soutok (confluence) suburban park. The aim is to select a team of landscape and urban designers to suggest future shape of this area and outline its long-term development as a suburban park.

The project is based on the Memorandum of Cooperation between the City of Prague, local city districts, and the town of Černošice on the development and future use of the area around the confluence of Berounka and Vltava rivers.
