At its meeting on 22 April 2025, the Prague City Council approved a significant deal: the city will buy the company Sedmá Nemovitostní s.r.o. for CZK 410 million. The reason for this is the strategic ownership of extensive real estate in Prague's Holešovice.
Sedmá Nemovitostní owns several key plots and buildings in the area of Přívozní Street. The most significant asset is the accommodation building and adjacent plots of land with a total area of several thousand square meters. Under the terms of the transaction, the company is debt-free, employee-free and in good technical condition.
"With this move, we are expanding Prague's opportunities for future development and investment in the attractive location of Holešovice. The properties will be used for municipal purposes according to the current needs," said the mayor doc. MUDr. Bohuslav Svoboda, CSc.
The resolution also includes the change of the company's registered office to Blanická 28, Prague 2, and the introduction of a new investment project in the city budget for 2025. The city has made sure that the company being bought does not show any legal or environmental risks. PSN s.r.o., the selling party, guarantees in the purchase agreement, among other things, that there is no asbestos present in the buildings and that they are not burdened by any outstanding litigation. Buyer protection is set for a period of up to ten years.
According to city hall officials, the action is intended not only to protect strategic land from speculative purchases, but also to prepare space for future development of the city's infrastructure or housing.
