The Prague City Council approved the conclusion of a Cooperation Agreement with the Prague Water Management Company a.s. regarding the construction of the Inflow Labyrinth - Left Bank, which is the next stage of the project of the overall reconstruction and expansion of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) on Císařský ostrov. Under this agreement, the company will provide the complete implementation of this project, namely all engineering activities as well as technical supervision.
"We are concluding a contract for the Inflow Labyrinth on the left bank of the Vltava River at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant on Císařský ostrov. These structures are necessary for life in a modern metropolis, although they are not visible at first sight. The expected date for the start of implementation is within one year of the signing and the estimated construction time will then be 34 months," says the City Councillor. Michal Hroza, Prague's Minister for Infrastructure.

Prague City Council. Prague Water Management Company a.s. was commissioned by the Prague City Council to ensure the construction of the current stage of the Inflow Labyrinth - Left Bank. Specifically, the company should provide all engineering activities, including the tender for the contractor or activities related to the construction, as well as technical supervision.

The current investment project will thus enable the construction of a new BD screw pumping station, which will pump wastewater from the B and D trunk sewers directly to the coarse pre-treatment of the ACK sewers before flowing to the main pumping station of the WWTP. At the same time, the hydraulic head will also be increased by approximately 50 %, which is currently limited by the hydraulic capacity of the BD headworks.
